Our family has recently suffered a loss. Mom, Nana we called her, maintained traditions brought forward from her family experiences that will live on through the family she created. LOVE is the tie that binds us with her forever through our human and soul experiences. She was 80 years long on this planet, her effects are everlasting.
With so much talk these days about finding our purpose, I point out as this recent experience demonstrates so beautifully, that life is full of potentialities for many purposes in our lifetime. Each of us has an affect on those around us, as our contribution to the planet and to humanity shows up in varied ways.
As one of our first learning opportunities as children we may witness our differences from our brothers or sisters. It’s thought provoking. Is that the turning point that teaches us to conform to the norm in order to feel safe? By design we come into life with a history, with gifts, with talents and with challenges each unique based on our soul’s design and our past lives. Each to evolve the species.
Reflection of all that I’ve learned from my relationship with Nana over the past 40 years has given me much food for thought. Her life has served so many purposes and her affect has been widespread. She will have learned a great deal that I am sure she is now reviewing. Everything from the good the bad and the ugly in her life here. That’s the point. As she lives on in the spirit world, she continues to grow, to learn and LOVE.
As a family, we are in pain as we grieve the physical loss of Nana. Her children I believe feel this so deeply with their maternal bond so strong. We don’t get over loss, we resolve it through healing, and as time passes we become available to allow more and more light in.
One of my teachers reminded me and as a result I cherish the words daily:
To know the light that walks beside you is to know the light within.
