Sounds simple right? So why does ‘being open’ tend to slip past us? Events and incidents are often noticed in retrospect leave us feeling defeated and missing the opportunity to shift to that space of ‘open heartedness’. Generally speaking, we live our lives being told ‘how to be’, and ‘who to follow’ thereby becoming conditioned to live within the norms of societal expectations. This is a misalignment with our natural selves manifested from years of conditioning. Thankfully we can unlearn this by paying attention to a new paradigm.
Most of us in adult life have somewhat silenced the voice that has told us to ‘pull up our socks’ and to ‘make sure decisions are based in logic’. Still, we seem to live life with varying degrees of disharmony. These days with social media as part of our daily lives, we are exposed a plethora of Spiritual Insights overwhelming us with messages of ‘just be open to it’.
Open to what? And how do we do that?
Though cliché, Spiritual insight is designed to get us thinking about life while inspiring us to move forward on our authentic path. People dismiss this insight as ‘magical thinking’ and are not comfortable with the perception of giving up control! Here’s the thing. Inspiration inspires thought, and thought is the gateway to action.
Consider, next time you read a Spiritual or Inspirational Quote, instead of dismissing or judging it, just notice and wonder how you can apply its message to your life. Personalize it and see if you can embrace its concept. Give yourself permission toward conscious action. You see once we let go of the control and worry that is habitually ruminating in our minds, we become available to be more focused on our personal growth and shift.
Your shift will be dynamic to the degree you are willing to let go of the linear left brain that has run your life thus far. Notice, if there are synchronicities or lack of them occurring in your life, because they demonstrate life either playing out in your favor or not. This is a great test to see how open you actually are.
The shift from control to trust is not about our intellectual abilities, it is vibrational. It’s about whether we feel joyful and connected. Let go a little at a time. Become aware that the Universe has your back. Try this… Ask the Universe for something small like your bus to be early today, or that your local restaurant has the bean burger it’s typically out of when you order it. You must mean it though, really mean it – embody the energy! Then thank God and your Guides!! Now let go of the outcome including how whatever you asked for shows up. And yes, we all have Guides on the other side who want nothing more than to see us be happy! We will talk further about your ‘team’ in another blog.
It is a little scary, I understand! I have had a tight relationship with control myself. Look at it like an experiment. Decide for a period of time to embrace uncertainty and trust the right answer will come. With devotion you will begin to trust your heart instead of your head. Focus on what you want in this life and to reject placing any attention on what you don’t want.
Wishing you
Peace, Bliss & Joy
